🎨 Richeson 696026 Wooden Rectangular Palette, 12 x 16 inches Review

Good, inexpensive pallet. It's not 12 x 16 inches. Sure, 11 3/4 x 15 5/8 might be close enough, except I bought it as a replacement for the 12 x 16 Prochade box, so it's too small to fit in the holder. Jack needs to be a little more specific with these measurements. A little disappointing, yes.

Until I started using it seemed like a solid and decent product. Although I primed it several times with linseed oil before use, the oil paint seeped into the board and it took a great deal of time to clean with citrus thinner. Also, it ripped in the bottom corner while cleaning and it looks like it will rip. I've never had this problem with a wooden pallet. Really disappointed.

Looks like a good palette. It is made of wood veneer over a light colored core. I can't tell what the main material is. It looks like plywood. I work with linseed oil. I have a layer on both sides and also work on the edges. Since it's made of plywood, it's probably not a good idea to use a lot of solvent to clean it, as the solvent will dissolve the glue. It takes months for flaxseed oil to fully solidify. Until then, cleaning with solvents is probably not a good idea. I'll scrape the paint…
