Very happy with this table lamp. From unpacking to complete assembly took a maximum of two minutes. There are so few steps that you probably won't need the instructions that come with it. It's not just your ordinary light. It has brightness (intensity) and color/tone controls. By color/tone I mean users can go from soft white to soft amber (and all mixed points in between). I would highly recommend this table lamp and would happily buy another one.

I see people complaining that lamps that big sway and move too much when typing or whatever. Well, it's a tall thin lamp and it's pretty stiff, so yes - it will transmit any movement you create on the table. Stable table and you will not transmit movement. Bought as a temporary replacement for my 40+ year old collapsible steel spring lightbulb while I was replacing the switch and socket but this thing is pretty awesome. The ability to change the tone and brightness using capacitive touch buttons is much more convenient than traditional switches. I had two on sale for $20 each. For the price, they far exceeded my expectations. Quality is good, no problems so far. My only complaint is that the touch buttons aren't very responsive. Sometimes I have to click them an extra time or two, but it doesn't make much of a difference. The only other issue is that the connectors are plastic and I wonder how well they will hold up over time if you move the lamps around a lot. I wasn't sure what to expect when I bought this particular item but I have to admit I'm very impressed. The lamp is very durable and very easy to set up.
