Secure Your Laptop with KMW64068 Kensington Computer Microsaver Security Cable Review

According to my experience, this cable security device fails to deliver on its promised protection. The locking mechanism is flimsy and easily tampered with, making it useless against thieves. On the bright side, the cable is long enough for decent flexibility. Unfortunately, the overall lack of security makes this product not worth the investment.

The computer locks were delivered to us quickly and complete as advertised. The locks are easy to insert and easy to remove. The cables were strong and the loop at the end was small enough for security but large enough for easy installation.

Under $15 with shipping is a great deal. The cord is strong and long enough to be used in most situations and the lock itself is well built too. The supplied keys look very difficult to fake and the lock is difficult to pick (it even has a feature that makes a red dot appear in the lock if someone tries to pick it). I'm going to college in August and will be leaving my expensive monitor and 2 external hard drives in the dorm so I'm ordering 2 more now just to feel safe leaving them alone. Of…
