Under $15 with shipping is a great deal. The cord is strong and long enough to be used in most situations and the lock itself is well built too. The supplied keys look very difficult to fake and the lock is difficult to pick (it even has a feature that makes a red dot appear in the lock if someone tries to pick it). I'm going to college in August and will be leaving my expensive monitor and 2 external hard drives in the dorm so I'm ordering 2 more now just to feel safe leaving them alone. Of course, this will not stop anyone determined enough to cut the cable with a pair of strong wire cutters, but it will stop the average thief as most laptops and electronics are only stolen if left unlocked and unattended. Compared to the cost of stealing all of my electronics, the low unit price makes them a real value. I'll try to upload some photos when my desk gets a little cleaner.
