Loose transponder chip just inserted. It's a pity really, because I think the idea of this key is very good and I would gladly pay three times as much if it weren't junk.

This was for my 2001 BMW 540i. Excellent quality key. The feel is pleasant and firm. I ordered two keys and none had a transponder chip in them. I notified the seller and after 3 months I received the transponder chips. Once I glued them in place the key worked perfectly.

Works great and feels high quality. the only negative transponder went beyond the key. I had the key programmed by a locksmith ($100) and they said there is no specific place for a transponder in the key. The transponder rumbled in the key fob but just a bit of CA to hold it in place and it all works great and feels great.

Bought this for my 2005 BMW 645CI because it said it would fit. Good quality keys and like the look. Now for the bad. I took it to the locksmith and that's the wrong key. Luckily for me it had the same key and it matched my car so I exchanged it and left with a working key. All in all, if it fits your car, it's a great key. The touch is nice, the appearance is a new style. Feels good, just make sure you get the right key for your car.

key works and works perfectly with ak90 programmer and software, perfect for E39 ignition and as long as the blade appears to be of good quality I would say it was a bit i need to find someone to cut it because my key is hu51 but this year also a 4 caterpillar blade which is important to note but once i did it wasn't a problem. I look forward to buying another one for my 03 530i soon and would recommend anyone looking for a cheap alternative to stealing to give this a try.

This key suits my needs. If you could program the transponder at a BMW dealer, that would be great. As an aftermarket dealer, you are not affected. In my case of a 2001 BMW 525i car I would just strip the guts out of my dead key so the transponder would still work and attach it to the inside of the plastic collar behind the ignition where it would communicate with the car and then the key would work. Used on my BMW E39 540i works great all you have to do is initialize the key. He'll sink with your car and do everything your original key does, like program key transponders. So you can start the car or switch your old transponder to this one and cut the key.
