I'm a GM techie and have seen many customers shell out $40-75 each and pay another $25-50 for their programming. Even as a technician I don't want to spend so much money to fix my own car. A 2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GT is very well programmed and has a maximum range of about 150 feet if you hold the remote on your chin to increase the range. (I know it sounds silly, but it works). It took about 6 months, the only problem was that the inscriptions were starting to wear out.
