Big disappointment!

I bought this water pump to pump the rainwater that collected around my work shed on rainy days, unfortunately this pump started breaking almost immediately, the hose broke (it was very thin). That's with some kind of tape and a rag, it was occasionally when it rained, soon the pump stopped pulling water at all. I expected more from a product marketed as "Made in the USA" but was very disappointed. The pump is still under warranty. I wonder if King Innovation will endorse their product. If so…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • A few little things

Just what you need, you should have bought earlier

The box for my meter is right where the water runs between my yard and the neighbor's yard drains. This keeps it constantly filled with murky water and I couldn't read the meter or reach the shut-off valve easily. I was tired of trying to scoop water inefficiently, so I pulled the trigger on this purchase (it's been on my bucket list for a VERY long time). Man I'm glad I bought this. For the first time since my house was built, I was able to pump out all the water and empty the meter. I really…

Great pump but maybe not for good finishes

The pump is basically easy to use and pumps water almost as expected. I bought this to drain the last part of my hot tub that is below the drain line. It pumps best on a flat surface so the last 1/4 inch of water still had to be wiped off because there are ridges on the bottom of my hot tub. My other issues are that the outlet hose is very stiff and gets stuck in the down position, so getting the water where I wanted without a second person to hold the hose in place was a challenge. The reason…

It worked well but delivered very quickly.

The length was fine for my use in a small pool and the water flow was pretty decent, although you do feel the weight of the water every time you pump. However the unit failed so quickly probably on the third day when I resumed draining my 10 x 30 foot pool I noticed that the water pressure was suddenly very low and I found that the parts in the picture were submerged in the pool swam. The amount of water that I could pump out became minimal, the pressure in the hose did not increase. I was…

Great pump, very impressed. Update: The hose is short lived

I live in a low lying area with very high water table and water collects underground in various underground tanks around my property. I use this pump to purify water so it doesn't rust on components like the ones in my propane tank and sprinkler system. This pump is very powerful and really shoots water out of the ground. So far I haven't had any problems with clogging soil or other material. My only complaint is that I wish the drain pipe was a little longer to get water out of the underground

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • hard to tell

Saved my basement, saved my sleep. Highly recommended!

I'm from Rochester, NY where we had a freak hurricane that cut power to most residents for more than 3 days. My house is unfortunately at the end of our trip, which comes with the added bonus that our drain pump runs for about 10-20 seconds every hour on rainy days. an old empty paint can and a 5 gallon bucket. No wonder every major hardware store in and around Rochester has sold out every piece of equipment that could alleviate my distress, including this particular siphon pump. Revan enters…
