When closing the vacuum seal you will notice that the springs/levers inside are a bit cheap and sometimes when closing the rubber/plastic seal will slip and prevent it from seating properly. Update 6/2021: Whilst the product initially looked great it started to fall apart after only 3 months of very light use. Something breaks in the locking mechanism, rendering the lid unusable.
