Simply wonderful!: Plastic

I bought this to protect the carpets in our new home. We were closing on a day that had 8 inches of snow so I knew LOTS of muddy shoes would be going in and out of the house when we moved in. I was only cleaning the carpets and didn't want them ruined. and this material seemed like a better option than buying a ton of carpet for the floor. He worked great. Awkward to lay flat but impenetrable

Painted several rooms. This thing is very difficult to remove, but once it falls, good luck ruining the carpet underneath unless you're painting in wedges. Stairs, shoes, nothing seems to have pierced it except for a sharp edge designed to cut/penetrate. I highly recommend putting this product on the carpet with a helper. It loves to curl up and stick to itself and good luck with the weight loss. However, that's what I expect from a product like this, so I can't really disagree. Another tip…

I was skeptical based on other reviews but apparently the product has been improved. The two biggest complaints from other reviewers were: it requires two people to install, and it sticks to itself like crazy, creating a lot of waste. I bought a roll anyway and found that those complaints were *unfounded*. I SIMPLY installed it myself with very little loss.
