Painted several rooms. This thing is very difficult to remove, but once it falls, good luck ruining the carpet underneath unless you're painting in wedges. Stairs, shoes, nothing seems to have pierced it except for a sharp edge designed to cut/penetrate. I highly recommend putting this product on the carpet with a helper. I was skeptical based on other reviews but apparently the product has been improved. The two biggest complaints from other reviewers were: it requires two people to install, and it sticks to itself like crazy, creating a lot of waste.
