Great problem solver

I had to reconnect the broken wires connecting the floor light sensors. I used this style a few years ago when it was purchased from Radio Shack. Home Depot and Lowe's do not sell this type of connector. Success here too!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Works great with IDC Electrical

These little connectors work great. I had to cut the phone cord so I bought them to reconnect. Simply cut the wires, insert them and use pliers to press down on the yellow "button" to make the connection.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Not Bad

Didn't match the terminals

I followed the manufacturer's instructions: inserted the stripped wires into the connector and crimped them with wire cutters. Did it twice with no success. Tried stripping the wires, didn't help either. I bought a crimp cable from another manufacturer. It worked the first time. Very disappointed.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Something different

Excellent Splicing Solution: Easy, Fast, Durable

These wire connectors offer a number of great solutions to many aspects of wire splicing, so they are likely to remain intact and fully functional for a long time. This is the first time I've used a modern splicing solution and of course I'm wondering why I haven't gone there a long time ago. But here I am.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Negative Present

Good weatherproof connectors

The SPOE cable broke accidentally and I didn't want to run or buy a new cable so I bought these to fix the brake. Just note that you need to make sure the red part is fully pushed in and not bent, and that you don't strip the wires as this connector can break/cut the wires without the plastic sheath! Otherwise they are good!

Pros
  • Thick 50 microinch gold plating on all contact surfaces
Cons
  • Quick instructions

Easy to use, best for terminals

Needed a weather proof connector to fix a broken wire on a garage door sensor that originally connected to a phone wire in the design. I bought them so I wouldn't have to mess with stripping, soldering, and insulating. Just put the end of the wire all the way in and squeezed with parallel pliers and it was done in a minute while all working fine.

Pros
  • Gel filled for moisture protection
Cons
  • I'll be writing back

Does the job. The jelly protects the joint from corrosion. Insert the wires and crimp them with pliers. If the insulation is thick, strip and crimp the insulation. The continuity between the crimp wires should be approximately -0 ohms. Twist the wires together to improve the strength of the connection. If both conductors in a pair are crimped, twist the pair together to reduce interference.

Pros
  • 3-wire offset connector for adding or terminating a phone line
Cons
  • Very expensive
