Works but has water shut-off issues

I like that Korky is made in the USA, works and fits my Toto Drake. But it does make a relatively loud stutter towards the end of fill. What I mean is that the water fills up to near the full level, then you can hear the water flicking on and off abruptly for at least three times in a row with each flush. The original Toto brand fill valve that I have in another bathroom (otherwise the toilet is the same model) works perfectly and only shuts off once. Now I will buy the Toto brand. I hope the…

Corky vs Toto? I bought them both.

I have this hissing leak so I replaced a new valve cover first (made by Korky) but the problem is the rubber seat on the float valve and they don't sell it. You can either find a rubber seat (I didn't have time after checking 2 hardware stores) or buy the entire inflation valve. Corky and Toto were my concern so I bought them both! They are identical *. It's as if the original manufacturer sold Corky's molds and all Corky did was add a new coinage to the word "Corky". The Korky costs $18 versus

I needed two tries.

First of all, I'm not a DIYer, but plumbing is so expensive that I decided to give it a try. The first installation worked fine, but I must have measured the length wrong somehow. It turned out to be too high and wouldn't shut off. After many tries, eight frayed joints and some very nasty words, I managed to uninstall it. This was the most difficult part of the project. Pure and Simple

Used to replace the Toto inflation valve which became very noisy. The replacement and installation took about 15 minutes. It took longer to suck water out of the tank than to put in a new valve. The valve fits perfectly and is quiet. Steps: 0. Close the tap 1. Empty the water tank. Soak up any remaining water on the floor with a sponge or vacuum cleaner.
