🧱 Spacer Blocks for Drill Guides Review

They fit my Kreg light and do the job. They're a little more expensive than what you get, but that goes for all Kreg items. I think you can achieve the same thing using a piece of neatly carved wood as a spacer, but reusable.

I had to use a hammer to put them together. Then I saw in the comments that sometimes they're too lost to keep in touch and sometimes too tense to be together. I got extremely tight. I believe Craig should create a jig to make his spacer blocks. I'll try to remove a thin layer of material, but at the moment it's completely impossible to use.

I thought I would like them because they would help me get my spacing right. I really like them because they help me to be consistent and fast. I don't have to measure when using them and they get me right every time. If you're trying to do production work on large workpieces and can't use a drill press, these spacer blocks will greatly increase your speed.

One of these shim blocks comes with the K5 jig - that's right, only one! Kreg should make sure to supply at least 2 of these with their own jigs. ONE is just ridiculous. I was forced to make my own from 1/4" thick wood (the thickness of the spacer blocks) until this set of three arrived from Revain. molded plastic.

Drill Guide Spacers are definitely a worthwhile investment for those who own a Kreg jig. They expand the capabilities of the jig by allowing the user to add pocket holes in hard-to-reach places where a table or gantry base cannot be used. The only reason this product got 4 stars instead of 5 was the tightness of the gasket blocks when assembled. While I understand that there must be some friction for the spacer blocks to hold together, it doesn't take as much effort to separate them as it does.
