💧 Waterproof Automotive Electrical Connectors by Kuject: Expertly Designed for Optimal Performance Review

Number of different sizes is perfect. The most suitable gauge of wire has a large number. The connection material is very durable. Part marks are clear. The product arrived very quickly.

Used these butt connectors to make a tiny 22ga wire for an electronic rat thing. The connectors crimped the tiny wire perfectly. I used a heat gun to shrink the tubing and it was very clear as the glue made its seal.

We used this item to add a new LED light to our garden trailer. Crimps and shrinks easily to ensure a proper seal. I plan on using some of the smaller plugs to replace the cheap plugs on our garden lights.

This design was new to me and took a little getting used to, but the connections feel very strong and also improve water resistance. I'll put extra heat shrink tubing on top of these butt connectors to keep the exposed areas waterproof - you can't beat the price! Highly recommend using with a heat gun!

You crimp well and hold both wires securely, but the heat shrink tubing around the wire doesn't form properly. I've used both a flashlight and a heat gun, but the heat shrink still doesn't seal. We plan to use them to connect the RGB LEDs in our boat, so we'll look for an alternative.

It's nice when the shrink tubing is already installed. I use them on our boats and all electrical connections that are exposed to moisture. I add a second layer of heat shrink tubing over the entire joint for double protection. I took these connectors apart after 10 years in salt water on our boat to find ZERO corrosion! Why not use them in every electrical project?

The metal inner crimp body is very thin. IMO too flimsy to be reliable. Should be thicker and stiffer for crimping to maintain a good connection. The good thing is that the shrink adhesive helps prevent the wires from pulling out. EDIT> I went back and found a box of these that I previously ordered. Crimps don't hold up well. They don't always fit evenly. When two are next to each other, they shrink at different rates and to different degrees. They don't sit tight on the wires. I have several other Kuject shrink connectors that work great. I don't know why they are so much worse. I have about 50% success rate with them. You're relegated to troubleshooting and interim fixes until I go back and replace the faulty wires with Molex or other higher quality connectors. At least they're cheap…

I don't usually give bad/average reviews but there are better versions of this product that I have used in the past, generally it takes a lot of heat to bond these terminals. Start shrinking (I used a heat gun). The inner glue was not visible, and in general, after crimping and heating, the corrugated metal tube is still exposed to water, which does not make this product waterproof.
