Works great but with a few extra steps

When I first used it I wasn't happy with the results. But after reading some reviews I decided to try something. I've tried the check valves suggested by some people but they didn't work. I also tried removing the filter but that didn't improve airflow on the next batch. I've found that putting the stone in boiling water with the pump running and then adding it straight into the wort without turning the pump off works. My fermenter is foaming.

Not effective in brewing

Yes it aerates. I regret the purchase. It is extremely efficient to aerate the wort simply by pouring it from a height of 3-4 feet above the brew kettle. If you have a bottle with a narrow neck instead, you can pour back and forth a few times. Maybe the problem for me is that my wort is thicker? I like stouts and porters. It would take all day for this tiny outlet to aerate my wort and I just poured my wort over it and thought it was fine. Maybe I can think of another hobby that I can use in…

The price is great but may need refurbishment.

Unfortunately I used this for a batch of seasoning without testing it first. The gurgling seemed genuinely anemic. When I tested it in water in a clear glass, of course almost no bubbles. I hope the yeast got enough oxygen. Luckily I read another review where someone disassembled the pump and flipped the magnetic rocker back a bit. Tested and the difference between day and night is a lot of bubbles! I think it's a lot, but it's very likely that a particular unit needs a refurbishment to work…

Worked better than expected!

I read a lot of negative reviews about this product but thought the low price was worth a try. Yesterday I made a 1 gallon batch of blueberry mead and used an oxygen pump instead of my usual method of constantly stirring/shaking the fermenter/fermenter. I was amazed at how quickly this pump oxygenated the wort! If I were to pour the condiment into a bottle, it would most likely squirt out! The pump is quiet enough but tends to vibrate a lot; I solved this problem by placing it on a folded…

It soon broke but was repaired

Unfortunately this device is of rather poor quality. It stopped working for me after the first use. Luckily I was able to fix it myself after realizing that the hand holding the magnet was not correctly positioned on the blue part. Because the electromagnet (black/yellow part) reversed polarity, the hand didn't move back and forth far enough to apply enough pressure. Bend it to the left - LITTLE; without even touching the magnet - it started to create more pressure and carbonate my beer. I also
