Safety first when replacing parts

Lakewood bell towers have been used for many years. Only one clutch failed, fully functional, no damage to the bell. I recommend to everyone.

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Weight

Good product, excellent quality.

Good quality, the only problem was that I had to thread it. More attention to detail on the center hole. It's not a true circle to center the diffuser screen on the block.

Pros
  • Automotive
Cons
  • Style 90

Big Bell: Parts

There is no comparison between a standard GM aluminum block for safety and a pilot bearing centered with a transmission input shaft. Lakewood was at .003, which is almost perfect, but GM's bell was at .020, which would have destroyed a new transmission after a few hundred miles. Sure, you can get misaligned block pins and solve the runout problem, but you still have a spinning clutch spinning at 6000 RPM inches from your feet! NHRA mandates the use of certified diffuser screens such as Lakewood

Pros
  • Transmission and Transmission
Cons
  • All rights

Good product, excellent quality.

Good quality, the only drawback was that the threads had to be tightened. More attention to detail on the center hole. It's not a true circle to center the diffuser screen on the block.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Not everything fits

Big bell on gearbox and gearbox

No comparison between the standard aluminum safety joint from GM and the guide bearing centering with the gearbox input shaft.
