Good quality for switch

It should work fine in my boat, I'll find out this summer if it breaks during use, but after unpacking it looks good quality as described.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Best for push button switches

Perfect for starting my boat. Not sure about normal wear and tear because I just installed but didn't have to take the boat out so I'm sitting in the garage for now.

Pros
  • Comfortable
Cons
  • Negative

Maybe a great midday switch on the equator

Waterproof cover on switch, but the flexible vinyl cover is too stiff to be used in warm weather of 85 degrees Fahrenheit without undue pressure and impossible below 65 degrees Fahrenheit.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Deep but no adjustment

Works well but the strokes I put in here were thick so I had to use the full length of the threads to hold everything in place. Unfortunately, once the waterproof button cover is installed, there is no way to lengthen the button to fit. Didn't think of that when buying. I pasted a 3/8 fuel line price on the button to take the place. A few years ago they could be used to occupy a room, I don't think that's the case anymore.

Pros
  • Great overall performance
Cons
  • I won't say anything

Slightly disappointed

This switch is rated for very heavy use, which is good. The problem is that with a plastic cover over the switch button, no matter how hard I press it, the switch resistance below 1-3 ohms cannot be achieved. With a 10 amp load, that means the switch is drawing 10-30 watts of power and discharging most of the 6 or 12 volt supply voltage onto itself. Removing the plastic cover from the switch solved that problem - with a resistance very close to 0 ohms - but it's no longer waterproof.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Doesn't work well with pushbutton switches

The knob is very stiff, which isn't a problem if you can push the rubber cap far onto the threads, but if you can, it's wasted 1/4 inch of material, than it's a slut. pressing the button is enough to make it work. The rear plastic spun on me as I tightened the clamps, not a good sign of quality. I'll be willing to bet that this piece isn't very weatherproof, although it's only water resistant I'd suggest attaching these with kid gloves as if you're snuggling up to something you don't like. this

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Good, but not great
