I had high hopes for this after reading the reviews but we didn't get a chance to fly it; There is only a very thin layer of nylon holding the crossbars, and one bar gets pierced during assembly. The kite is very easy to assemble and made from durable kite materials. The problem we had was that there was only "one attachment point" between the rope and the kite. This makes the kite very unstable and tends to fall off every time. We solved this problem by wrapping the line (think MacGyver) so that it has 3 attachment points (opposite ends of a shorter yoke) on the kite, giving it much more stability. This is not your typical kite. It's not one that you just lift in the air and expect it to remain completely static. It moves slowly but steadily through the sky with a constant wind in a field about 90 degrees horizontally and likes to go down a bit, giving it real interest.
