got a pair of these and was impressed with the savings. After 6 months, both are completely unusable and hardly drip water. Absolute rubbish.

Easy to install. The old one was hard to get out. Everything seems fine, no dripping. But it's too stiff when turning. The old one turned easily. You can see how sturdy they are before installing them. Haven't heated it up yet. Doesn't leak. I can say that hot will be very hard. I'm not sure if you can lubricate it with faucet grease. However, always apply this silicone grease to the o-ring and bottom washer.

Fits perfectly on the Glacier Bay faucet shown in the picture (original faucet in the 1989 house) and appears to be better quality than the Danco stem I bought from Home Depot. most began to squeak almost immediately after installation. This one says "Plastic Ceramic" (ceramic cartridge in a plastic case), while Danco may have "Plastic Plastic". Installed in minutes, the flow was gone from stock. And no squeaks!
