Died pretty quickly. At first the fan worked fine.

died pretty quickly. At first the fan worked fine until I noticed that it wasn't blowing air when spinning to a certain position and eventually it stopped blowing air completely but kept spinning. I was curious as to why this was happening so I opened up the fan and found that the twisting motion was rubbing the wires that powered the fan against the plastic until the wires wore out. That thing could easily catch fire.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • dubious purchase for the elderly

Beware of a stock deal with this risky item which is very fragile.

Completely broken, rattling, jingling pieces fall out. The fan inside was completely loose, dangling from broken plastic pieces that fell out through the grille when opened. It was a stock purchase and a total waste. I bought this because I had bought a similar weasel from a target store that worked faithfully for 7 years, but the design and plastic of this model would have to be extremely brittle to break so completely internally. I want one but I buy it locally and don't bother with shipping…

Good fan but doesn't move much air

Read many reviews and take the chance to buy this tower fan. It doesn't move the air like we hoped. It should be high so that we can really feel a comfortable air circulation. We use it in our RV's master bedroom and would like 1 or 2 higher settings. The noise level is not bad. The remote and timer are nice, but we leave them on most of the time because we have small dogs in the kennel while we're away. Our cars work fine but we need a little help at night and in the middle of the day in the…

Excellent mosquito repellent

This great fan is pretty quiet. Not as loud as I'd like to sleep in, so I still use my noisier little floor fan when sleeping next to this fan. This keeps the room pleasantly cool. I especially like to put it outside on my covered patio. My terrace overlooks a wooded area and mosquitoes attacked me when I sat outside at night. I read that the spinning fan was a fantastic mosquito repellent (because they aren't strong enough to fly through the fan wind). Sat for hours outside on my patio last…

Tide Ladies - THIS IS THE NEED IN YOUR LIFE

What can I say - I've had a fan in my bedroom for years, a powerful, round, oscillating fan. It's noisy, but I'm used to it. It's on a stand, so that's good. This is a fan. A box fan is better than a window air conditioner. I've wanted a column fan for a long time. I especially wanted one with a remote control so that when I wake up sweaty, grumpy, and annoyed at being awake and sweaty, I don't have to get out of bed to turn on the fan or increase its speed. IT HAS A REMOTE CONTROL AND WORTH…

Great fan especially for the price

We were so impressed with this fan that we bought a second one so my husband and I could have one in our home office. We had the first one for more than 5 years and the second one was bought after the SIP orders started. The remote control stopped working after about 2 years. They changed the batteries but the remote just didn't work. The good news is that the remote control that came with the new fan also works with the old one. Aside from the remote control, both our old and new fans work…

that it's a pretty good solution

This fan takes up very little space but moves the air very well. I bought a house that doesn't have ceiling fans, but the bedroom is on the second floor, and you really need it in the summer. Until I installed a ceiling fan, I used this tower fan. It's a bit noisy for sleeping, but it moves the air so effectively, especially when using the oscillation function, that it's a pretty good deal. I tried a box fan but it took up a lot more space and was just as loud if not louder. (I compare the…

Pros
  • Glitter
Cons
  • Expandable

The fan is difficult to assemble by one person. My wife helped me the most. The instructions were about as complex as building a flying saucer, and they looked like this. The remote control didn't work at first. I unplugged the fan, took out the batteries and let it sit for a few minutes, put the batteries back in and plugged the fan into an outlet. It worked. The fan arrived here in California at the start of the heat wave. The first day and night we didn't need the air conditioning in our…
