Good product, I recommend

A very good and respected product. I used it on my shower remodeling project. This is a well made product, you will need a razor or similar to cut it. It worked well with my Mapei Aquadefense Roll-on impregnation mortar. It's best if it's not so thick that you can crease it at the corners so you don't have to cut the fabric too much.

Pros
  • Absolute legend
Cons
  • Crumpled

Fiberglass suitable for building materials

Nothing to say. Its fiberglass fabric is low mil. Laticrete is a well known brand that you can trust. I've heard stories about the all-purpose brand and how difficult it is to crumple and stay in place even with a waterproof membrane applied during use. This product works as it should when used properly. I use it together with Mapei's AquaDefense when renovating a guest bathroom.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Quality

Better than cheap options.

I have showered several times and have never used a Laticrete membrane. As with many other reviews, this product was thicker but I had no problems using it. If anything, it was easier and lay flat rather than bundled. Don't worry about raising the height of places where there is no fabric. If you apply the mask correctly, it works great.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation

Works great with Red Guard

Comes in a large width that is great for hardboard stitching. I cut the strips in half to raise the tub and baseboard by just an inch. Worked great with the Red Guard. Work quickly as you want the red patch to get wet, then lay the fabric down, trowel into the corners and then tap the red patch onto it with a brush. For the 1st layer including cutting the fabric, I only needed about an hour, then the 2nd layer in one go. Nothing in itself a no brainer.

Too thick for tight curves but still a good product

I like the thickness of this product. It works well with RedGard. Compared to other fiberglass caulking materials I have used, this product does not work as accurately in corners as I would like. In addition, much more product is required to cover it than the type provided by Tile Master GA. I would probably buy this product again if working on a project where the space doesn't have a lot of inside and outside corners in close proximity to each other because it's cheaper than the other type…

Pros
  • Very fast delivery
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Indispensable for sealing the liquid foil of a tiled shower.

Essential product for sealing joints in the shower wall, especially niches and edges. I used a brush to apply liquid membrane (Redguard). This helps to cut the fabric to the desired size before applying the first layer of liquid membrane that the fabric will adhere to. Then immediately apply a second layer of membrane to fix the fabric. After a few hours apply a second and third coat. I have complete confidence that my shower is completely sealed and this material was an integral part of the…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Almost everything in order

Works very well in combination with Redguard.

I got the fiberglass directly from KBRS when I waterproofed my shower with their system. I liked their fabric (don't know what brand they actually sell, they won't tell) but this fabric seems to be even better. Not much better than I would say you should only use Laticrete, but it is a very homogeneous product and works very well in combination with RedGard. When I create a barrier with fiberglass fabric and RedGard I get a real sense of strength and impermeability. Just not so much with…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • Almost never
