Great for mobility. And nice extras included!

Small, simple and portable. To attach to a surface, the double tape is used on a flypaper. I like working in different places so it's perfect for me. For the price it's perfectly acceptable, especially with all the extra features that come with the clip. I especially like the needle case.

Pony's compact size makes it well-suited for desktop use.

It was the size. You need, and any extra threads and tools are a bonus. One and only. The problem I had was that it wasn't. press hard enough. I have adjusted the clamping mechanism to no avail and had to resort to adding leather. Jaws for more force when closing. It works, but not for heavy loads.

Pony seams are not the best part of this set

If you want at least a decent sewn pony this is not the option. ALL the other tools in this set are worth their money, even the (adjustable) flimsy metal thimble ring. But thumbs down on the sewing pony, it doesn't hold any weight, is horribly balanced and worst of all, it barely clamps to hold your project.

It's worth what you pay for it, even with its shortcomings.

This set was pretty decent for what it was. It's too much wax in the thread, but definitely usable for beginners. Leather finger rests are cool. The needle holder is nice but I had a crack in the wood. The needles themselves are fantastic and varied. The scissors aren't great, but the real gem is the sewing pony. It's portable, well made, adjustable and well worth the money until you buy an expensive one.

Great little sewing pony for beginners.

Ideal for leather beginners. Wooden jaws can damage the skin they're holding, so the first thing I did was glue some strips of soft, lightweight leather on top as "soft jaws". Thread and needles are fine for beginners, but I attached them to a piece of wood to sit on and work with. There are other similar types but this one only has velcro to attach it to the table. Eventually you will want to switch to better quality bangs if you do a lot of hand sewing. It won't hold anything too thick…
