This is one of the coolest lights I've ever owned. Some of my aquariums have $200 bulbs which I will probably sell and replace with an Asta 20. This light really worked wonders on my 3g nano with a narrow lens and I'm very happy to see what a wide one it is. The lens looks like my big tanks. The dimmer is smooth and has a wide power range. I bought this light to set up a new aquarium for growing coral fragments. The light is easy to control with the remote control and the color is nice and even. The only thing that worries me is the binding system. The mount is made from beautifully brushed aluminum and threads onto an aluminum thread at the end of the flexible arm. I needed very unique lighting for a static tank I was planning to install and this was perfect for me. The dimmer is a little touchy and the dimming range is only a fraction of the physical range of the dial, but the full LED output pleases my plants.
