I have a tall 10 year old boy who usually wears 12-14. Waist and length match perfectly. He is NOT skinny and they are a little tight in the legs, almost like skinny jeans. But this is the same kid who weighed 10 pounds. 10 ounces at birth and will never be lean. So if your boy is lean/wiry I think they will fit perfectly. The stretchy material is comfortable and moves with a very active boy. Good quality jeans.

These jeans are an odd size: size 16, 28x28; Size 18, 29x29 - OK, but soon it will be small, so I ordered size 20: 30x32. Hm? Where is 30x30? Anyway, he'll grow in them, so we'll keep it. They stretch a bit for comfort and tend to be thinner than heavy-duty jeans.

They are really good for my green bean little son. But we bought him 2 pairs in two different colors - black and blue. They sent me 2 black ones. SMX. He loves black jeans so we'll probably keep them, but it would be nice if he had a blue pair for other outfits too. Disappointing!

Jeans are just great, the quality is good, but the problem was with the waist. I read the description to understand that the belt is adjustable but it is only elastic and unfortunately too big for my almost 5 year old twins. However, I will keep them for growing or gift them to a friend. As shown in the picture, dark wash, I like Levi's old school look.
