Description of Leviton AFRBF W SmartlockPro Interrupter Receptacle

Identifies potentially dangerous arc-faults and responds by interrupting power. May be used on circuits feeding lighting loads and/or other loads such as smoke detectors where a receptacle is not used. Easily installs as a replacement for a standard receptacle, TEST and RESET button on receptacle face for localized testing. Meets or exceeds UL requirements for tripping time for both series and parallel arcs. Can be used to meet NEC requirements for Arc-Fault protection in new circuits, circuit modifications or extensions, or replacement receptacles.

Absolute Waste of Money

This product is not worth your hard-earned money especially if you're in the Industrial and Scientific field. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, it's clear that this wiring and connecting product is poorly designed and is prone to malfunction .The only pro is that it looks good but the cons outweigh it. It's unreliable and doesn't offer the safety features it claims to have. You're better off finding a more dependable product elsewhere..

Pros
  • Enhances safety by preventing reset of GFCI if the device is not wired properly or protection is compromised.
Cons
  • Requires professional installation, potentially increasing costs.

Recommended Arc Breaker

Initially, this circuit breaker would trip on any load larger than a lightbulb when installed. But after a few days it seems to be working fine. I can't figure it out, but it's working great now so all is good! They will definitely save the day when the panel is full and there is no room for a dual switch.

Pros
  • Tools and Housewares
