Description of 🔌 Leviton GFNT1-W SmartlockPro Non-Tamper-Resistant Receptacle

For an added layer of protection, the GFCI regularly conducts an automatic internal test to confirm that it can respond to a ground fault. Provides continuous ground fault protection detects and trips on actual ground fault even when self test is being conducted. Status indicator light shows power and protection status as well as indication of line/load reversal. Patented lockout action prevents reset if GFCI is damaged and cannot respond to a ground fault. Slim, shallow design reduced depth makes it easier to install.

You can't ask for better quality!

I love that these GFCI sockets have an indicator light to show they are working properly. They are easy to install, even in metal boxes with two Romex wires included in the box. They're not as thick as some I've used, so thickness shouldn't be an issue. However, when I use them in metal boxes, I always wrap 3m of Super 33 electrical tape around the socket because they are quite wide. When I bought them the 4 pack was the best value. Supplied with cover, base and cover screws, marking stickers…

works fine but difficult to install.

It works great but the design of this product may confuse you when installing. I hooked it up the same as the old one, it has a green light but it doesn't work. I'm so confused because the green light means everything is working fine. I searched a bit and found out that this brand has the opposite way of connecting top and bottom and before resetting it has green lights which means you connected it wrong. Who made such a design that a green light means it's wrong? Changed top and bottom, reset,

Works as it should. Well designed.

I have to say there are a few things I like about this GFCI. When you tighten a screw for a wire, it pulls on it, helps secure it, and completely encloses the screw. Make sure you wrap the wire in the right direction so it helps tighten the screw and doesn't damage the wire wrapped around the screw. The device comes with a yellow sticker covering two pins. Useful to avoid using when it is a performance endpoint. The sticker will inform you well to make sure you don't install it wrong. In a way,

Works great: Standard sockets

Installed by copying wiring from old GFCI, green light came on but couldn't test/reset. Scrolled through the reviews and found one that said what I was doing didn't always work. Of course I withdrew the new one and compared it with the old one. "line" and "load" are swapped. So I reassembled accordingly, and what do you know! It worked! We had no outlets in either bathroom for MONTHS because the only GFCI was bad and neither my husband nor I thought we could fix that. After my dad told me it…

Works great, LED indicator required

This Leviton GFNT1-W replaces a standard GFCI socket that has failed. will not turn on the circuit until it has performed a self-test - read the instructions carefully! Couldn't find any model with hidden screws. installation experience. Figuring out which GFCI socket has failed took a while as the ones used by the assemblers don't have a status LED. Once I was in the process of rearranging the wires, and guess what, the wires weren't connected properly when the house was built! I fixed the…

Works great with a two wire system. Be sure to read the instructions.

I am a complete electrician. My house only has two prong outlets, which is becoming increasingly frustrating as I often end up using small adapters that I don't prefer. I did some research on converting to three prong outlets and noticed that my house (built in 1957) only seems to have two wires in the circuits. In my bathroom, a long fluorescent light hung above a large mirror, but eventually it was removed and made into a fixture that was unsightly and probably dangerous. To one side of the…

Not bad, good value, minor flaw

This could be a five star product. For starters, this is the cheapest recognizable brand GFCI socket I could find. Second, the automatic self-test feature is reassuring and I have no reason to believe it's not doing the job. It's as easy to install as any GFCI device and its low profile leaves plenty of room in your outlet. wiring box. However, there is a star deduction for the test switch on the front panel. Most GFCI devices simulate a ground fault to disable the outlet. This is not. It…

Hard to press reset button

Both outlets I replaced had four wires, two black and two white, plus ground. I connected two new GFCI outlets to line connections only and didn't charge because I didn't want to affect any outlets on the line (disclaimer: I'm not an electrician so connect at your own risk! :) Now I have power at both outlets and the green ones Lights are on so I'm assuming they're working properly. However, the reset button on each is very difficult to press. This caused me a lot of heartache because I thought
