I recently bought a Linksys Max Stream ac3000-re9000 Wi-Fi Extender to expand my wireless network with a Linksys ac4000 Max Stream router. My experience with this extension was good; This significantly boosted the signal in our living room at the far end of the (though not very large) house from our router. The only thing I've noticed is that nearby electrical devices, especially those with motors, will definitely disable that power strip.
