Easy to use, should last a long time

I rarely change wheels but when I do I've always gotten one from Autozone in the past. Having one on hand, especially at this price point, is a game changer. Easy to use, quickly replaced my old and worn out handlebars in my MX-5 with a new Cipher. Recommend!

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Useless features

Borrowed, then bought.

Had to borrow from another mechanic because mine didn't fit. I ordered mine that night. The package is big enough for another set of screws, but if you add more, you'll have to find another storage option. The quality is top notch. If you need one, this is it.

Pros
  • Price
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great tool at a good price

The tool worked great. Comes with two sizes of steering shaft adapters. The part of the tool that presses on the stop plate feels pretty solid and should last a long time. I spent 15 minutes replacing the retainer plate in an old pickup before ordering the instrument. It took longer to get the instrument out of the box than to replace the retaining plate and retaining ring. If you ever need to work on your steering column, you need this tool that will save you a lot of frustration!

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Compatibility

The product worked great

The only reason I gave it a 4 and not a 5 is because when it arrived there was a hole in the packaging big enough that the nut could fall out it was missing when i received it. I checked Revane's envelope and it wasn't there or on the floor. I figured it had to be gone before it was packaged in Revain or elsewhere. Luckily I had a 5/16-16 spare nut to replace the one I lost. It also worked great as I was able to remove and reinstall the steering column lock plate. easy. Good product.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • There are nuances

"Be sure to remove the steering column adapter! "

I finally got my money's worth! Worked very well on my rebuilt 70's Chevy Van. The bore of my hub adapter shaft was too small. Of course I glued the hub adapter well! It wasn't set deep enough. So I had to take it off. There was no way to remove it without chipping my new paint job. Searched online and found this little "GEM"! Jumped right out! The tool itself is quite heavy! 3/4" thick with thick washers. Bolts were junk! Went in grade 8. Closest points center to center of bolts are 1 1/8"…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • So far so good

Strong Puller Fits Steering Wheel Puller

I used to buy several pullers from our local auto parts stores. They were made of aluminum alloy and didn't hold up. One drilled a hole in the puller. Another puller literally bent when pulling the steering wheel. So this time I wanted to hold a steel puller and that's exactly what I got with this puller. Pulled the steering wheel with no problems. You can't go wrong with this puller, especially at this price point. The only reason I gave it a 4 was that it arrived without washers and a couple…

Pros
  • Easy Installation
Cons
  • Some Problems

Missing piece and unequal arm length

I needed a narrower puller for my 2003 Yukon and it fit (width was right) but before I could use it I had to grind down one of his arms because one was 1/ 8 inches too long and had too much angle for the puller to work properly. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, there wasn't a mother to actually work with (!) so I used a surrogate mother to get her. This nut is also used in the larger puller so I have no idea why it was missing - the shrink wrap was intact. was able to find a narrow puller…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So-so
