great to find this online

My local hardware store ran out of stock of this tool. I was so glad to find it online. I have replaced most of the hallway/toilet lights in my house with this product and love the small profile, easy installation (after removing the existing electrical box) and the more than adequate LED lighting (adjustable from 3,000 to 5,000 lumens).

Nice 4 " flashlight. Good for small spaces.

They're not bad. But please pay attention to the measurements. They don't always give it in the description. These are 4" lights. They're good for small spaces. I put one under my closet, over the sink. Good light, fully dimmable. When I tried to use them in a room they seemed to lack the lumens I needed. I switched to 6" for the room.

Definitely go to Lithonia, it's fantastic.

Don't buy cheap fakes, they're much better. Constant light temperature between multiple devices. Incredibly easy to install. I put them in all our closets just because they were stupid enough to put them in. And then I put the big 6 inch discs in the masterbed with a dimmer switch to fully light the room. Just fantastic. Continue.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • It's embarrassing

3000k too dark, 4000k too blue due to CRI too low,

Used as canning lamp. Although they are easy to install and work well in flat applications. I should have known better, the CRI is too low. 4000k is too blue and 3000k with low CRI looks boring. The radiation behavior is also too wide, especially for high ceilings. Should have gone with a non side lit can with a smaller beam angle.

Pros
  • quick change
Cons
  • almost never

Great result: Electric

These LED lights are great. I installed five in the laundry room we were renovating. A light went on in the shower. These lights are adjustable to the desired brightness. I did 5000 in the shower, 4000 was fine in the rest of the room. The springs holding them in place are a bit aggressive. Pulling out the light to adjust the brightness can be a hassle. Even with super strong springs, I'll give them a five. I also bought a 4 1/4" hole cutter. Installing these headlights just got a lot easier…

Solved a tough problem

During a major renovation I installed about 100 4 inch LED retrofit lights in our home. center of the hall. It's quite difficult to get light in the middle of the corridor. Then I found this, ballasted the TJI, set up a 4 inch pancake box "centered" in the hallway behind the bedroom door bolted to the TJI, and attached a small thread at the end of the braid from the ballast to the lantern. Shitroker and Taper are doing their job. Unscrew and remove the pancake box and you'll see a perfect 4"…

Electrician 9 years!

I'm an electrician and we install these panels in every living room, kitchen, bedroom and outdoor patio in all our new builds. They're so easy to install (a 4 1/8" hole saw is the perfect size...or just trace the template and hand cut with a hacksaw)! Due to their extremely low profile, they fit almost anywhere! They can be installed even if your house is partially blocked by a truss as long as you can fit the driver in there! They are already equipped with soldered ends in the pluggable cable…

Overall a good product

I am an electrician and bought this to test the product. I haven't installed them in the field yet, but customers have been satisfied with other similar Lithonia flat LED products. Pros: Light output is adequate and the ability to adjust color temperature is a bonus. other narrow ceiling areas where traditional downlights would not. Cons: I connected a Lutron 153p dimmer to my workstation and there was an audible hum from the transformer. This may not be a problem once installed as the…
