It's useless if the Wi-Fi router is more than 10 feet away.

Range limits are stupid. This can only be used if your Wi-Fi router and door lock are within 10 feet of each other. Would love to be able to set passcodes or open the door remotely, but since my router is on the 3rd floor of my house, I'm SOL.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Doubtful

2G connection required for installation

This is a good idea, but there are many things you should consider before purchasing this product. It must be plugged into an outlet within 10 feet of the lock. Requires a separate 2G internet connection to function. Even after doing all that, I still couldn't connect it to the bluetooth locks. I didn't work properly

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Updates

Great but hard work!

The instructions seem simple but the time it took me to actually install this with the lock took too long. Once I had to stop because I was upset. The lock did not recognize the WiFi device or vice versa. I updated the firmware on the lock but nothing. I don't know how to finally sync it but once connected it works great. The lock can be opened from anywhere.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Expensive

Slow weak signal and almost meaningless for the price

Works well but quite slow and requires a stylus. That's not bad for safety, except that there's no point in yelling the needle loud enough for the assistant to hear. Also, it keeps disconnecting me from my network even though 3 other smart devices nearby never have a problem. It's only really useful for opening doors remotely when you're not at home, and it sucks that you need a hub for every lock you want to access over WiFi.

  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons

Not Worth It - Hubs and Controllers

Don't waste your time on this product. They claim a range of 25-30 feet for a Bluetooth connection to the lock. That's totally wrong. My hub is installed less than 5 feet from my lock (in an outlet right next to my door, no walls or anything in between) and it won't connect. It's also less than 10 feet from my router and can't even get a 2.4GHz connection. This whole setup is rubbish and you would be far better off buying a smart lock based on Z-Wave or Zigbee.

Pros
  • Best in Niche
Cons
  • I don't remember

Wow, everything used to work fine, now nothing connects. I'm an engineer, I can almost always struggle to get crazy hardware to work, but not this time. It comes back, I rip out all of Lockley's things and replace them with August Lockley. Lockly things I bought a few years ago end up in the trash. you have been warned STAY AWAY!

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Roomba i7 Conflict: Power

If you have Lockly Lockly and iRobot in the same house, your front door buzzes randomly day and night, i7 scans the room for devices and locks through that device The door shows a bluetooth Icon as if the i7 is trying to enter a code. I spoke to iRobot and they said it was related to this device. If you turn it off and just boot up Lockly via Bluetooth, the door will no longer emit random beeps. I suspect the vacuum is sending something similar to make the door think someone is trying to unlock

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for the elderly

Works great 15ft+ from mesh network

This Lockly Secure Hub works great. Setup was easy, as was my Alexa integration. The Lockly Secure Hub is within 10 feet of my front door lock, but it is more than 15 feet from the nearest router and/or mesh point. If you have an Xfinity modem/WiFi router combo, a cheap Belkin router, or even Nighthawk routers, you should definitely keep your distance under 10 feet (I guarantee the $300 Nighthawk won't give you will bring much more). Offer). If you can, get an Eero mesh network or AmpliFiHD…

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
