He always asked for these shoes and put them on as soon as they arrived. Everything was great. About a week. Now the laces are tearing in such a way that I can't even imagine how to fix them and it becomes very difficult to tie them. Very disappointing.

They're hard to hit and once you do, they get too big! You cannot unlace the laces enough to accommodate this as the shoe's collar and tongue are sewn on.

No tongue to allow a child's foot to flex to fit the shoe. The hole isn't much wider than his toe. Basically, the child should appear almost like a ballerina on pointe shoes, then slip into the shoe and awkwardly stretch the leg. It is impossible for a child aged 4 to carry it alone.
