I would not buy or recommend this product to anyone, reason #1 is size confusion and reason #2 is that after a few weeks the velcro is not sticking so the product cannot be used as advertised. I only give one star.

I'm a slim woman with a defined waist and full hips. moves completely up and down from the lower back to the chest area, especially when seated. Probably better for straight-chested men

It supports my back when walking or doing other exercises. I have multiple sclerosis (which weakens my core muscles) and spinal stenosis due to arthritis in my back, so I consider it an important part of my daily routine. Actually, I'm on the third. The first time I had to take a smaller one because I lost a lot of weight and only now I replaced it because it was worn out. I'm glad I did it because now I feel better!

I bought another brand a month ago and it started great, but three weeks later the velcro wouldn't hold due to poor construction. I have a 34 waist and thought a S/M waist under 36 would be too small. The large fits but needs more packaging so I recommend buying the recommended size. So far it offers great support and the velcro is strong and firm. My other belt started out great but turned out to be crap so I went back and turned four stars into one.

These supports looked and sounded like they were different, but they weren't. I've tried this but it's uncomfortable and doesn't help with lower back issues. My order summary said it could be returned by July 25th; However when I tried to return it I was told it was non-refundable. Wasted even more money on my aching back? :-( Update: I just realized the wrong size was sent. I ordered SM and the box says so, but the brace itself is L, so I was able to return it for that reason. :-)
