Lights up, but strange.

Just bought one and put a small 3D head that belonged to my late father in an old Bianchi B-Lite (a contemporary of the Kel-Lite before Mag-Lite took over the market). I chose it because the base looked the same as the PR3 and fit where larger diameter bulbs wouldn't. The good news: It fits and lights up. A good upgrade for an almost discarded Maglite

Bought for my 20+ year old Maglite 3D element that I almost threw away just because it's old and not up to date. Easy replacement - it fits perfectly without enlarging the bezel hole as some models require. I cleaned the lens, put the batteries in and got an upgraded, rugged and weatherproof Maglite for $9. Works great - IF IF they fit your Maglite.

When I first received these conversion kits I was unable to fit the bulb into the Maglite because the diameter of the new LED bulb was too large to fit through the Maglite retaining ring. This problem has been noted by other reviewers and I have not seen a solution to it. Eventually I found out that there are two different sizes of locking rings for Maglites.
