Do not buy this item as it does not actually lock.

Do not buy this item as it will not block your Mac Air. It's attached to a small latch, and the latch screws into the bottom of the Mac. Even when locked, the lock can be easily unscrewed! So your laptop is protected by only one screw that can be removed in two seconds. It is NOT locked.

I have just received the lock cable with bracket and 2 pcs.

Just got the lock cable with bracket and two problems: flat surface. Also, the screw hole in the bracket is not far enough away to hook the screw hole in the case. We flipped the mount and installed it upside down. It works well but not as stable as it would be if the mount fitted because now nothing can fit snugly against the side of the case. 2) We changed the combination according to the instructions, but now the new combination doesn't work like the original one. Will not accept a new combination

This lock was needed for a MacBook so I ordered it along with the Blade universal lock which is needed for a Mac. This code lock does not accept a new combination. DO NOT CONNECT TO THE LAPTOP AFTER CHANGING THE FACTORY COMBINATION. Try resetting the combo first and do lots of testing before connecting. Feels like this is the best option; Very happy with it after figuring out what it is and how it works

This is absolutely the best and most functional Mac solution yet. I couldn't figure out the key too easy to lose. I didn't want the plate, there seems to be too many complaints about the plate that either the screws come loose or something gets in the way. I actually bought it from maclocks.com because the descriptions here on Revain are not as clear and helpful as I need them to be. However, I understand that thieves may not get much information.
