I bought the postman about a year ago and I really liked it. Just after Christmas some thieves looking for Christmas cards brought the crowbar to our postmaster and did a really good job as you can see from the photos. They never got into our postmaster. This product is the best and saved my mail from theft. So I turned around and bought a more expensive Mailboss model. It's really worth the money for the security.

Strong steel and secure closure solve the problem of mail theft. Installation is easy thanks to the sliding mounting plate, screws and drill bits provided. It even includes new reflective house numbers and a retractable mailbox. I think the flexible red plastic flag is a nice touch. The frustrated vandals can't even break this piece! It's not a cheap mailbox, but the solution to this problem is worth every penny. Contains 3 solid keys.

I am very impressed with this mailbox. It was very easy to install. It is very durable and well built. The thickness of the metal used is quite thick. It is NOT flimsy or tinny. I'm sure he can handle some abuse if he does. I hope you don't have to. I feel like my mailing list is pretty safe. I have no doubt that this mailbox will stay with me for many years to come. The box is solid, but "what can Braun do for you" managed to flex the area that caused the door to drag when opened. I corrected. I'm not the most skilled when it comes to "craftsman" jobs. When this box arrived I was a little intimidated by its size and weight. However, when I received it at a post box station near me, I was able to put 4 of the many markers on the plaques available. A pilot bit to prevent the wood from splitting was included and was very easy to install. We love this mailbox! Arrived well packaged, sent immediately. Amazing (Lifetime) Warranty! All hardware for installation included. For this we built our own base. The only "flaw" we found is that the bottom panel protrudes about 1/4" out of the back of the box body. This is how rainwater hits the bottom panel and eventually soaks the wood underneath.
