    A bit small for toilet parts

    It took some unnecessary fiddling to get this to work. I don't think the bottom was completely flat and the plastic seemed to float too much. Maybe the design needs a bit of work, or the production was a little off. After some fiddling, it finally held the seal.

    Finally something works

    I needed to replace the red valve seal on my old 211 mechanism. I tried 2 different ones bought online which should have worked, they were from a different manufacturer and claimed they were suitable for 'Mansfield 211'. They don't fit 100%. Still full of holes. There was nothing left but to buy the original, unfortunately I had to buy the whole mechanism, but since only the reading seal is 6-7, then paying 11 dollars for it is not so much. And it worked! No more wasted water.

    Good product and easy to install

    I don't usually write reviews but after installing this flush valve I felt like I had to. This flush valve was very easy to install. The only problem had nothing to do with the valve itself - the screws on the toilet came out in a tight space. Second, the instructions were the best written and most detailed I've seen in a long time. The product and toilet diagrams were very clear and all parts were well marked.

    Exact replacement for the original model 211

    The original 211 flush valve that came with the toilet was white but otherwise an exact replacement. Installation requires removing the tank, which is not difficult. However, the rubber washers on the screws that attach the cistern to the bowl crumble quite a bit when touched (this toilet is about 14 years old) and the black rubber that separates from the washers makes a real mess the hands. It would be a good idea to order three new rubber washers for the tank bolts (or just go to your local…

    Product as advertised and an exact replacement for the original flush valve that came with the toilet. The fit was good and the valve isn't too difficult to install if you follow the instructions that came with it. A tip is to check your old flush valve for a model number before ordering as there are two valves that are the same shape. A valve is a much slower filling and flow rate.     I buy them in bulk because the basic design seems built to fail. I don't know why this design ever became popular - the top PC breaks off the lever that hits it over time and needs to be replaced. However, these replacement devices are great. Maybe I could switch to a different style, like an old valve that took 2 minutes to replace, but I'm not that ambitious. Funny, I've never seen my dad or grandpa ever replace a piston/valve system.     No plumber required! - Rough Plumbing

    I had to replace this part in two of our toilets because the base that the small white plug screws onto broke. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the purge valve itself. I wish Mansfield would have made the stem thicker so it wouldn't break as easily, but as I said, this has nothing to do with the valve itself.     Buy these if you have a Mansfield 160 toilet; NOT the 210

    This is EXACTLY the flush valve that those of us with Mansfield 160 toilets need. Almost every local store only carries the 210 "universal" flush valve and they will tell you "it will work" but what they don't tell you is that the 210 valve more than doubles the water flow per flush and is the cause of the is the usual "double flush" you see with the 210 valve on a 160 toilet.
