mens sizing misleading

We ordered matching shorts and shirt for a man from £5 to £11,200. Not exactly skinny, but not huge by North American standards either. The trousers fit an L. We ordered the shirt in an XL based on some other customer reviews, but it was still uncomfortably tight. I reordered the shirt in size XXL. However, the only difference seems to be that the XXL shirt has longer sleeves. It was just as tight. I returned everything. Too bad, because the design and material are good.

Great swimsuit for sun protection and warmth

Great swimsuit! Use it to protect yourself from the sun while swimming. Since I swim outside year-round in California, it keeps me warm even during the winter months. Yes, we get cold in Northern California. Also great under a wetsuit when snorkeling for extra warmth. This is my second Mares rashguard. The first lasted several years. Finally stretched. It is important to rinse with cold water after each use in a chlorinated pool. Also, you cannot dry in direct sunlight as this will destroy the…

Mares Rash Guard XL - Works great on the rash layer and is long lasting.

Good fit and durable. I basically wore this under my life jacket all summer. 2-3 times a week on the water. Usually it was just taken off and hung over the tub until the next use, but often it was thrown into the washing machine [without moving] and then hung out to dry. I like it because the water is a bit chilly the first few days but it's still not TOO hot on 30 degree days and I feel way better than ever shirtless. I'm 6ft 2in, skinny 170lbs and size XL fits me perfectly. Bought ONeil XL…

What about the fit?

Most people have mentioned the fit or are concerned. It should fit like a second skin, without play, which is why it is an elastic material. Example: I am a 5"9" 170lbs man. Medium build (no beer belly) I bought the medium and it fits very snugly. At first I thought it was too tight, but remember, once you get in the water you won't feel it. I also bought Cressi Medium, both fit the same and are the same quality. Next time I'll buy a big one to see if it's still tight or not. Update: I bought…

Great purchase and great fit!

Bought two rash guards for snorkeling in the Virgin Islands. Since I knew that I would be in the sun a lot, I also bought long sleeves. The other was from a different manufacturer and didn't fit nearly as well. Many people noticed the landing. It fits in and out of the water just like a rashguard should. The close-fitting rashguard provides some warmth in the water and reduces friction when moving through the water. If you want a tight fit in the water, buy the size you normally get, but if you

The size is right and the quality is perfect

I wear a very large t-shirt and the very large Mares rashguard fits perfectly. People who write in reviews that the size is too small don't understand what they are ordering. This is a rashguard, not a t-shirt. The rash guard should fit like a second skin. If it's loose, you'll keep getting a rash. I used to get a horrible underarm rash when wearing a wetsuit in the water for long periods of time. I haven't had these breakouts since using this rashguard. The quality is excellent. The style and…
