Good tool, but there is a small design flaw.

The tool is good, but there is a small solvable problem. When removing large valve cores, e.g. B. the Ford high pressure valve, you may have trouble installing the core through the tool. The problem is the O-ring that seals the system port on the tool ball valve. As you tighten this adapter, the o-ring will shrink and bulge. This restricts passage through the tool and causes the core to fall out of the tool. I had to tighten this connection with my fingers and see if the core would fit. It…

Essential for air conditioning repairs

If you've ever had a leaking valve on an air conditioner, car or other, this is a must have. Replace valve. Don't let them ruin your valves in older systems. Often it is a valve that is leaking due to testing and a broken rubber seal. I had no problem removing the valves without losing coolant. There is a small part that you will lose, but we are talking about a small part. The pressure inside the device pushes the valve into the blocked area. Installing a valve exposes the unit to a small…

high quality tool.

This is a well made Mastercool tool. I used this tool to remove and replace the Schrader valve core on a Ford Fusion. The system was pressurized and core replacement was performed on the high voltage side of the AC system. I watched an online video showing how to use the tool before attempting to fix it. The tool worked great and replaced the core without losing the 134a refrigerant. Basically, the tool paid for itself the first time I used it and saved me the hassle of vacuuming and charging…

It works great for ALL AC except Ford

Most of the bad reviews here are obviously user error. This tool is not really intended for the average handyman. When you're working on a printing system, it needs to be treated like a bomb, because that's what it is. Most modern heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems are under high pressure and compressed gas in a closed system is in most cases a bomb. That being said, if you use this tool carefully and thoughtfully, it works well. It's very well done. However, on some accessories,

Terrible dangerous

OMG talking about a dangerous tool. I figured a more expensive tool that looked solid would do the job and be safe, but that's not the case. Quality control has obviously slowed this down. I connected to the high side and followed the directions as instructed. When I turned the stem knob and lock nut counter clockwise and pulled the stem everything was fine until I tried to close the valve knob and the whole part of the stem came off like a ball. The stem end stayed in and I couldn't close the…

Very high quality but still a bit small

I use this kit to replace Schrader valves on my AC work vehicles (f150s, rangers and tacomas). hand, and I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 because while the largest fitting unscrews the valve core, the Schrader valve is just too big to fit cleanly through the ball valve. I bought this kit on purpose as it had the largest valve I could find but it is about 1mm smaller, the shredder unscrews nicely but has trouble going through the ball valve so I changed the valve after the The Schrader valve has…

Buy this MasterCool kit and no other kits - it's a waste of time

This is my second purchase of a Schrader valve. I should have bought it beforehand. I'm attaching a lot of pictures because the pictures here suck. When contacted, the manufacturer has no idea which part of the clock is suitable for which cars. So as you read this review, fast forward as I purchase two MasterCool kits and am guessing/hoping that one of these will fit my 2003 Chevy Avalanche z71 with Schrader high and low valves. The low setting took 15 minutes to smoothly switch this tool…

Doesn't work well on a 2001 Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer

Good quality tool and kit but had to give 3 stars because it didn't really do what it was designed to do. The valve on the top of my 2001 Ford Expedition was too large to fit cleanly through the ball valve on this tool. It stuck, so I was left with a pressurized tool with an M10 high-pressure valve stuck in the tool's ball valve. It must have moved because I couldn't get the tool to grab the M10 valve to screw it back in, so I still had to go to the trouble of evacuating and rebuilding the…

Great tool! for spare parts

This worked great and saved me time and money from having to completely evacuate the HVAC system. The build quality of this kit is much better than most. I will definitely recommend it to my friends who do similar jobs. I recommend doing a test run with a valve stem swap to get a feel for how it works. That way you can also make sure the rod gets clean before you remove the old one. tool back. If this happens don't panic as most likely the bar is still in place at the bottom and all you have to
