There aren't many people who use/need cartridges, so the manufacturer stopped making them. Maxell XLII is a high quality cassette tape. Although the price is a bit high due to the limited supply, I prefer these bands.

Hard to Find - Data Cassettes

I used to buy used cassettes because they are hard to find but some of them had recording problems probably due to age. They worked well but the price was a little high.

My friends think I'm crazy.

because I still prefer recording to cassette tapes to recordable CDs. Why do I prefer this method over the latest writable CDs? Let me list the possibilities: 1) Durability - I still have tapes that I recorded in the 1970's that sound just as good today as they did then. 2) Durability - Re-read number one. can many people even remotely say something like that about their CDs that are only a few years old? My tapes have been on vacation, at the beach, by the campfire, in extreme weather. And…
