I bought them because they were cheap. Dude, I don't have to raise the top gate anymore. They were too easy to install. Maybe less than a minute of the total time from taking off the old ones and putting on the new ones. I can highly recommend them from day one.

We replaced the lifters with my son's 2010 XC90 and they have worked flawlessly so far. With the help of my 17 year old driver (who held the tailgate) and his 9 year old sister (who brought us a screwdriver, paper towel etc) it took 10 minutes to swap both out. Would definitely consider again for my other cars.

Fits my tailgate perfectly. The old lift struts didn't raise the tailgate until it was fully extended, which could have hit your head. They were easy to install. There are instructions, but they are not needed. A simple flathead screwdriver will help release the tension on the terminals and get the job done in 5 minutes. Let's see how long these last.

Perfect replacement parts both sides for my 2011 Volvo XC90. Simply remove the two black retaining clips on each side, one at each end, and remove the old part. Then simply insert the new one. No need to remove new clips to install. Sometimes you need to buy original parts, but not in this case. This is the perfect replacement.

Didn't know it's two steps when they slide the sunroof up, but also dampen it when it hits the upper limit so it doesn't slam. It is easily removed, the woman does not complain. I installed this on a 2007 Volvo XC90. I put it off for a while because Volvo parts were very expensive. I got tired of having to duck every time the tailgate gave way and getting hit in the head a few times. I decided to give it a try and they work incredibly well, now the flap opens by itself. This repair should have been done sooner. Installation is very easy, just remove the old clips and attach this one. It has everything you need.

1/2 inch longer than stock for my 2010 XC90 and about 1/4 inch longer than the wide open sunroof easily fits. I found it impossible to pull the retaining clips straight out or symmetrically and I didn't want to pull them all the way out, in WAYNE's case they would fall off and get lost and for fear they would be difficult to reattach.
