Memorex External Drive Recorder Format Review

I bought this recorder to replace an old Memorex recorder and it has worked flawlessly from day one. I've tried Sony DVD recorders and they just suck! Memorex offers the best at a reasonable price. It's fast and hasn't had any issues in the last few months.

Connects easily, quickly and accurately, but I'm nervous about vertical use. I don't want a freshly recorded DVD to fall on the floor. It hasn't happened yet, but I prefer to use it on my desk, close enough to the edge for easy access to the open button. I have never had a problem with any Memorex product.

Bought a few months ago but used for the first time today. Disc marking function failed on first use. The guarantee is of course over. This isn't a bad looking paperweight, however.

I had high hopes when I bought this. I immediately used it to create a recovery disk for my netbook. It created the drive ok. The problems started when I used Lightscribe to label the disc. In general, the quality was poor and there were a lot (20+) tree-like rings on the disc that shouldn't be there. driver firmware.
