Pure junk, do not buy

Cap and rotor appear to be of good quality, but mounting screws wear out from incorrect threads. As a result, when I tried to tighten the screw, it broke. Now it looks like my lid broke. !Short circuit between 3-7 cylinders on the cover. As soon as I reached 40-45 mph I noticed my engine stalling! Now I'm not accelerating to 40 mph. I can't return the last 30 days. I screwed up $45. See photos old screw new screw

Pros
  • Replacement parts
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Functionally superior but keep your old screws

It had brass contacts and built in pressure washers which was good. The mounting bolts were the wrong pitch and there was no Loc-Tite on them and the rotor bolts. My old 2003 cap had an SAE J1711 decal but this one didn't. Is that still mandatory? BB ads for other lids emphasize compliance, but not here. This cover is superior to original equipment but may have been made for a truck.

Pros
  • Manifold and parts
Cons
  • So-so

Look elsewhere, eg in factory or similar quality.

I need Dr. Scientist and Chris D. agree. I spent countless hours chasing diversions around this damn boat only to find that the cover was poor. I'm glad I took an hour to relax before writing this review. Who would have thought her new cap was crap. I moved on to fuel pumps, spark plugs, wires, sensors, relays, fuses. Unreal. Do yourself a favor and just buy a factory part. It's just not worth the pain and suffering. Sorry supplier, but these are facts confirmed by numerous buyers.

DO NOT BUY, BEST IN REPLACEMENTS ONLY

First, you could tell the rotor was warped just by looking at it. There were imperfections in the casting of the rotor that prevented it from fitting snugly onto the top of the distributor because there was too much plastic scrap in the wrong places. The rotor was just awful. The cover came with the wrong thread size, if I tried to screw it in the manifold body would snap. The cover itself was also defective as the mounting holes were slightly offset. The cap terminals were tapered and didn't…

Pros
  • Cap and Rotor Kit
Cons
  • Out of Style
