First, you could tell the rotor was warped just by looking at it. There were imperfections in the casting of the rotor that prevented it from fitting snugly onto the top of the distributor because there was too much plastic scrap in the wrong places. The rotor was just awful. The cover came with the wrong thread size, if I tried to screw it in the manifold body would snap. The cover itself was also defective as the mounting holes were slightly offset. The cap terminals were tapered and didn't allow for a good snap or connection to the spark plug wires. I don't know why this was even done, but don't waste your time. Buy a branded part, especially for boats. Not worth the headache. AVOID!
