Merrell Chaser Sneaker Medium Little Boys' Shoes for Sandals Review

These shoes support and provide more stability when walking. My child has poor eyesight and can put them on by himself, plus he never stumbles or falls while putting them on. We just increase the size as she grows and I love that they are wide! My only complaint is that we just bought the largest size and it goes down to men's sizes.

The shoes fit well and looked good but didn't last at all. My son wore them for normal activities (school, hanging out with friends) - not sports and he has worn down the part lining the insole under the heel. I was very surprised as Merrell is a well made brand in general.

I think I wrote the first review but I was disgusted because these shoes appear to have mold. The box was in a bag but the box itself was slightly damaged (not an ebay bag so it looked like it was weatherproof). Could it be a mold problem in the warehouse? I've never seen this - I returned it quickly, I can't give it to my child. I hope the other pair I ordered for my other son (shoes on the way) arrive in the best possible condition.

Bought 3 1/2 months ago for 3 grandchildren. The insoles of all 3 pairs have crumbled and the feet are sitting on the rubber mesh of the sole. The Velcro almost ripped in half on one pair. The upper of the shoe is separated from the rubber cap. We have bought Merrell shoes in the past which have held up much better - actually bought 2 pairs which have grown into 2 older boys but unfortunately the smallest boy has not grown up in them yet. Apparently the quality of the shoes has gone down!

It was important to me to find comfortable shoes for my grandson that offer good support and a wide width. No one should squeeze their feet into shoes, especially a child.

The son wore these for 1-2 months and one shoe has a hole in the insert on the heel. Hole through to the sole! For the price I expect much better performance. Merrill's reputation here was inaccurate.

The protector wears well, which says a lot for my child. The downside is that my husband had to apply shoe glue to the toe where the rubber and material meet. He had to do this with both Merrell shoes for both boys. They say it's easy to fix.

The size is too small. The New Balance 570 was much better in the same size, unfortunately they don't do it with the velcro option anymore. I'll come back to this and just get laced up.

My kids are very picky about shoes, but regular sneakers don't help when hiking. They really love it! My son prefers these to his sneakers!

He says they are comfortable. The Velcro is divided twice on the strap to fix the shoes. Tried to sew and glue back. None of them worked. The strap holds the shoes in place, so there are no shoes now.

The glue on the rubber sole has come loose. My son has only had them for a few months and he showed me that the soles on both shoes were coming off and loose. Very disappointing as I've always liked Merrell in the past. Wouldn't recommend it.

Merrells are generally sturdy and my son travels well. But after a short time, the fabric around the ankle of both shoes tore in several places.

Perfect shoes for everyday school life. Convenient for physical education, recreation and light hiking. Merrell doesn't disappoint - beautiful colours, great price and relevance throughout the season.

This used to be a great shoe for my son, this is the second pair to have holes from the insole of both shoes on the heel next to the rubber sole. This was after 6 weeks of daily wear.

These shoes are well made and were a good price. These are durable shoes that are well suited for everyday use by our active 10 year olds. I would happily buy them again!

I bought these for my almost 8 year old son who has rough shoes. Looks like they will hold up to some wear and tear. They appear sturdy and well made. The sole is pretty thick. Hopefully they last a while (or until he outgrows them).

My son has been wearing these shoes for a little over 2 months and they have completely fallen apart. The toe of one of his boots is gone, his toes sticking out. I have never experienced anything like this with any of my children's shoes.

Terrible quality. The front of one of the shoes started cracking and peeling after just a month of use. The other shoe still looks good. Maybe it was a factory wedding. I do not know.

I have flat feet, so wide, sturdy shoes are important. I found boys' shoes sturdy and wide at the toe to fit me. Arch supports are used in all my shoes.

Bought these for my 7 year old son. He's been wearing them for 2 months and the sole of the shoe has completely detached from toe box to arch on one foot and the other is starting to come off. I thought Merrell was a quality shoe brand, but found out otherwise.
