Not as sticky as butyl tapes

Liked the ease of use. Had to cut the tape to fit the 1x6 stringers, doesn't seem to stick as well as butyl tapes. I'm not sure about the durability yet.

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Upgradeable

Works perfectly. for paint, wall treatment and accessories

Ideal for protecting your decking structure while maintaining a full black appearance through the gaps between the planks. Classic cars have used roofing material for this, but this is a much better solution.

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Expensive

Great product for napkins and cling film

I bought this product to put on wood when stacking in a garden box. I believe this product will help me extend the life of the wood by providing a better water/moisture barrier. I recommend this product.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Useless features

Great Stuff Easy to Install

This material is easy to install. It is difficult to remove the pad in one piece. The backing is torn into strips and does not come off very smoothly. It also held up very well on the sides. After this winter I will watch how it handles water, snow and ice.

Pros
  • Great Design
Cons
  • Functionality

Better than nothing but not as advertised.

Does not stick well to treated wood. It is sticky at first, but will eventually need to be stapled if you don't put the decking down right away. But it appears to be quite durable so time will tell how well it performs. Probably better than nothing, especially on the jacuzzi decks.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not for everyone

Does not stick to the sides of the joists.

No matter what I did, I couldn't stick it to the sides of the beams. I even used a laminate roller to try and hold it down to no avail. I suppose it will still work, but some of the aluminum taillights I had to use when I was a few feet shorter stick like magic compared to this stuff. I would look elsewhere

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

A MUST when replacing an old deck!

I never write reviews even though I spend too much on Revain every year but I would give this stuff 12 stars if I could. Honestly. I stripped the old deck down to the joists and wanted to cover up any old nail holes before reinstalling the plastic. This stuff is worth every penny. Sticky, durable, waterproof. I'm really shocked.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Quality

Doesn't stick well, had to use heat gun

I installed this to the deck joists in Florida in the spring when it was warm and dry, not hot and not too humid and the glue didn't stick well to the stocking. freshly painted clean surface. I had to use a heat gun on about 1/4 of it to soften it up in order to wrap and glue it to the joist. I'm not sure if other bar tapes would have the same problem, but I would try a different brand if I had to do it again.

Pros
  • . Weight
Cons
  • Protection
