Absolutely awful No exaggeration

I bought this for college as a laptop replacement to use in class to type notes and open powerpoint slides and use onenote. I have never used the product for this because after using it I quickly realized how incapable the device is for simple tasks like charging. It sounds crazy, but I'll be honest: the device didn't charge more than half the time I plugged it in. I thought it was a defect or something, but found out on the internet that this is typical for the device. I had to try 5 maybe 10…

More than a tablet!

So I wanted the Surface because I saw the possibilities based on its commercial presentation. I decided to give it a try. I originally wanted to return it because in a rush based on the price I missed out on this whole 10.8 vs 12.3 thing because a couple of the accessories I bought were for the Surface Pro. I decided to keep it because this 2-in-1 tablet/computer combo has many features. I was really too busy at the moment to try them all but so far so good. I look forward to trying everything…

It's fun to use, quickly discharges and ejects applications.

It has plenty of space so I never have to fill it up with my documents and tasks and I don't have room for games and apps. Unfortunately, it often detaches from my cover, the browser randomly closes, and some taskbar options appear as blanks with no icon. Battery life is decent - I charge more often than I'd like considering I'm not using it for hours, but it drains like I'm video chatting, playing a game, creating a 3D model, and browsing . all at the same time. Ideal for moderate use and not…

A digital artist's dream!

I wanted to go back to illustration and this and a surface pen was the cheapest option for drawing directly on the screen. I've been using Apple products since 2009 and also have two Wacom tablets. I'm so impressed with the Surface 3 even though it's an older model. If you want to draw with it, you need a pen. You cannot use your finger in Photoshop. I also downloaded an Asian drawing app and it recognizes pressure very well. Drawing on glass takes a little getting used to, but at least I can…

Disappointing overall

Overall this product was a terrible purchase.1 seller. The finish was marked "used, like new" but when unpacked the box had a label that said "refurbished". I am suspicious of refurbished products unless they are from a reputable brand with a guarantee. I would not buy this product if I knew it was refurbished and it seems doubtful the seller would not notice. You must request a refund (not guaranteed). Luckily they accepted mine but I had to pay $13 to send them back as they don't cover that…

Get ready to install Windows 10 from scratch.

Before buying I read the reviews. I'm a retired techie so I wasn't intimidated by the problems some buyers had, especially as previous buyers had documented detailed restoration procedures. Like many others, I experienced a failed Windows 10 installation. As soon as I turned on my device, I was thrilled to see that Windows 10 loaded seemingly fine. However, it fell to a BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) very soon and told me that a reboot was required. It soon turned out that what I had was actually…
