Works great after many uses. Even after cutting 3 " holes in 2x6

Postponed for multi-material testing. Simple pre-drilling in hard-to-reach places. But also recently used to drill 3" holes for a waste line through several 2x6s. It has lasted 5 or 6 decks with no problems. Will definitely be getting the higher quality version in the future now that I know the lower one is so good is working!

Pros
  • Design with steel gears, 3 different bearing types and integrated gear carrier
Cons
  • Expensive

Great product, good quality and very useful

Great product and very useful when I need to drill a hole in my cabinet under the sink with a small spacing that I can't drill straight into, so that's when I got this one used a right angle and the result was fine, I don't know how I could drill a hole in the bottom of this small cabinet with this product because I couldn't get my drill into this cabinet. Thanks to this product I can now drill a hole in a spot with a slight angle. The build quality is good for its size.

Pros
  • hex shank
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Too much vibration works best on magnetic drills

It worked but the gear mechanism was causing too much sideways vibration at the tip of the drill chuck. I needed this to drill holes in a slate shower stall and install glass shelves. I started with a 3/32 pilot hole drill, but the loose gearing caused the drill bit to make a small circle instead of rotating on its axis. This was done after carefully centering the drill and tightening the drill chuck several times. It can be good for drilling 1/2" holes in 2x4s, but it's hard to use when you…

Pros
  • Designed with a minimal overhang of just 4 inches
Cons
  • Out of fashion
