Pretty Good. My son loved it. Wish there were instructions on all of the instruments but it is all at your fingertips on google.

It's a good solid compass, priced appropriately and with an instruction booklet that notes something very important.this isn't going to point "True geographic North" but rather magnetic North. Don't return it because your phone says it's wrong right out of the box, read the manual and learn how to read it properly first. The manual text is a little small (glasses necessary), but very informative and very much appreciated.

Quality construction. Fits into your hand. Happy with the purchase. Now have to learn the proper way for using a compass. Bought for a survival/emergency pack.

Way better then expected. I have one that i paid 3 times as much for thats no better constructed. Time will tell how it holds up but for 10 bucks im presently surprised.

Seems well made, but WAY heavier than I expected. If you need one super tough, then get this, but if you are hiking or weight is a concern, you may want something lighter.

For the price, it is exactly what I expected: not a precision instrument, but adequate for my needs. I would not bet my life on this for any form of long-distance or super-accurate navigation, however it is FAR more durable than you'd expect for such a low price. This compass works well but it's so heavy. Had I realized how much it weighs I may have bought something less heavy-duty. I usually leave it at home because I don't want to lug around the extra grams while backpacking.

This is a bit heavy, but that was no surprise since the weight was listed. It has been used quite a bit and is holding up well. Very pleased!

North keeps moving. I tried the compass in my house. I hold the compass level and line the green up with the triangle on the glass. In some rooms, the front of my house is north. In others, the front of the house is northwest. In others, it's northeast. Clearly, the compass isn't accurate.

can't be beat for the price. Comes in a soft pouch with paper instructions on the more advanced uses of the compass. So far readings are very repeatable. The compass is a metal shell with a plastic back. Not the lightest compass I've ever used but for the price this thing is great.

I've only used it in our yard so far. I've compared its readings to my old compass which I know is accurate and it matches its readings. I'm looking forward to taking it in the woods in a few weeks. 4 stars because I haven't really used it yet.

However, I was not to happy when I got it and opened it to find out the back cover was not metal, but instead was plastic. Not sure if this will hold up in more extreme conditions. The second issue I have with this compass is the sighting glass is not secured in the frame that holds in in place. This will show to be an issue if having to align the glass each time. Deducted a star because the description stated "full metal body" while the backplate is most definitely plastic. The plastic seems durable enough though. This is a nice heavyweight compass that does what it's supposed to do.

This is heavy duty and comes in a canvas case. My son's been asking for one, and my former Army husband was really excited to see it when it came. I honestly don't know much about compasses, other than they point north, but he says it's great for sighting degrees etc. It's heavy metal too, I expect it to last. I did check it with a compass app, and also knowing which direction is magnetic north from our house, and it's spot on. GREAT gift for a kid interested in maps or navigation!

Quality build, looks cool, I have no idea how to use it. I just out a concerned look on my face, open it up and continue hiking, people seem to think I know what I'm doing.

So it's not a high dollar buy so I knew I could expect some lower end pieces here but since my sons will be using it, I wanted to be able to have something "disposable". I was very surprised that this compass was more than I expected. It's still not super quality, but for the money it's well made and works great!
