I digitize all my archived black and white and color negatives and slides - of all sizes and formats - but I can't get 126 (square) edge to edge scans. This forces me to crop to an unintended rectangular grid.

SD card rarely recognized. When recognized, it was blank when I tried to transfer the images to my computer. I ordered and sent back the second scanner and had another problem, didn't even recognize the card. I tried another card and got the same result with both.

I liked this film scanner - it was easy to use and the image quality was very good considering how old my negatives are. The downside of all this is that I couldn't get the SD feature to work - it didn't reformat the old SD card or upload photos to the new or old SD card. Then I realize that others had the same problem. I went to the website listed in the scanner manual, but the website doesn't exist! I doubt this is an old Minolta product. Decided to return.

Color balance, screen size, image balance and usability don't matter if you're not copying to an SD card. I followed simple instructions (on the first one I bought) and tried about 30 times but couldn't duplicate it. I called a Revain technician. He walked me through the exact steps and we couldn't get him to copy it. I sent my first one back and Revane sent me a new one. the same thing. now i have to send it back.
