Numeric/easily legible, 2 pcs.

Requires 2 for a home with a propane stove. I liked that they plug into an outlet and run on batteries so you can place them next to the stove and underground. Easy to read

Good value for money

Good value for money The only problem is that it's a bit difficult to hang from a cord, especially as the holes on the back for hanging aren't very big are. I like that it's both wired and rechargeable. Maybe better on the battery side hanging high as suggested.

Faulty Alarms: Fire Safety

The monitor would say gas was detected then immediately counted down to zero and it also indicated carbon monoxide was detected but when I moved other monitors to the same location it did he received no no warnings/readings. Went to Lowe's, bought 3 First Alert Monitors, gas/CO2 found nothing. About 10 days after return, not the $55 we're going to spend!

Product Suitable for Safety

I can't understand why the manufacturer put the power cord on top of the detector! If you hang on the wall, the cable will make the detector heavier and cause it to hang askew. And when installed under the ceiling, this cable sticks out and weighs the unit down crookedly. Also, the cord is not long enough to reach the outlet. It is better to buy detectors that run on batteries.

Idiotproof for Safety & Security

I was dismayed to discover my mother-in-law's new apartment had no carbon monoxide detectors. This is just as important as a smoke detector. The problem is I don't know how to use it because it is connected to our fire alarm. Fortunately, this is evidence of idiocy. As soon as you plug it in, a welcome message will appear and it will start working immediately. All I had to do was hang it on the wall. It even has hangers built into the back.
