Do your best to install them.

Installed on my 2006 GMC Sierra. The instructions are not for a non-mechanic person. Because he doesn't exist. Not easy to install.

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Expensive

Almost approved by Uncamper.

Keep your hardware what comes with it is not the same as OEM. If I had time I would send them back. Yes, they fit, but not exactly. Installed on a 2006 GMC 4x4 from the front. I will update soon.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Has flaws

Much Better - Replacement Parts

2003 GMC Sierra 1500 z71. The old ones were hard to get off. The top bolt/nut was difficult to rust. The passenger side was shot through completely. New ones are easy to install. When I drive over bumps in the road, I don't feel like I'm in a boat.

Pros
  • Excellent Design
Cons
  • High Price

Not the right rubber for replacement parts

This is exactly what I wanted for the front shock absorbers. They are stiff, fit great and the ride is exactly what I expected. The only negative, in the photo it seems to have a black rubber case, but in reality it's just hard plastic.

Pros
  • Very good price
Cons
  • Not the best

Monroe 911501 on shock

I needed new shocks for my GM 4x4 1/2 ton. This was one of the few recommended discharges. I find that they help to manage and even out the dips a bit. However, my pickup is a bit rough and you can feel the dents on the road. I've found them to help transition from pits and dips, but you still feel the pressure. I bought them in addition to the rear shock absorbers and I am satisfied with the price and quality. I think I saved about $15 on each damper x 4 with this purchase. I would recommend…

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • Good but not great

The best shock absorbers for the money.

Day 1 shocks are great, it took about an hour after climbing to install both front shocks on my 2001 Silverado Extended Cab. I'm 18 and made it myself which says how easy the setup is. As with all car work, the hardest part is unscrewing the old bolts. I have mud tires so my truck will always be bumpy, but I've actually tried potholes with the new shocks and hardly felt them. The shocks work hard, not very soft, but maintain good control on back roads or twisty roads and greatly improve braking

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • Mostly ok but...

Shocking improvement!

I paired these shocks with Monroe 58637 Sensa-Trac load matched shocks on my 2002 Chevy Silverado. The old shock absorbers were tired and very loose. The new shocks felt great even before they were tested on the road. With the old shocks, if I pressed on the front of my truck and immediately released, the front would bounce 4-5 times. Tried the same with new shocks and they rebounded and stayed there. After installation, I took my truck for a test drive and immediately noticed an improvement in

Pros
  • An absolute legend
Cons
  • Definitely a bad product
